Yes, they have outdoor seating and will bring the pup some water.
I've not needed reservations and I'm not sure they take them. Plenty of other good restaurants if they are too busy.
Have no idea, I am in NY now. Sorry
Not sure i was traveling great little place though
Very good food. I was impressed the paella. Large portion with lots of animals in the dish. Delish. Tres leches was my fav compared to flan and key lime pie. Pricey. Be prepared. Mashed potatoes and green beans, pear carpaccio are gluten free.
My wedding guests are still raving about how amazing our food was! Danny and his team catered our rehearsal dinner and wedding. Nothing can stop these guys from creating a memorable menu and providing top notch service. Not even a tropical storm or fire!!! They were as determined as I was to make our special day memorable and they surpassed expectations. We had a low country boil Friday with the most amazing grits of my life. And Saturday was a fresh seafood paella piled high with scallops and shrimp and the shrimp/ avocado salsa was mouth watering. Plus the mojo pork, plantains, and rice and beans. There was something for everyone. The fresh oyster bar was a huge hit with my guests who came for a true Florida wedding experience. Thank you Danny, Marissa, Tiffany, and Guy! You made our day amazing and are truly a local gem!
Amazing food and service!
We ordered blackened grouper and grouper Ruben . Both were very good, good portions.
Great lunch menu that always features a very fresh selection of seafood. They also carry beer from oyster city brewing company which was very nice. It was semi pricey but I would have to say it was worth it.
Three of us ate there and we all got something different and it was all very good. The seafood bisque, the stuffed pork tenderloin, the pecan crusted grouper, the salads...I highly recommend Tamara's if you want a great meal. The dessert menu looked good but we were all too full from cleaning our plates at dinner. We will be back!
Great food and service. Does a good job with large groups. Has a good selection of gluten free dishes.
Great food! AMD Danny the owner is a great guy who does a lot for the community. There's always great live music there too.
Soggy bread for our sandwiches, limited options for $14 +
Quaint place for lunch. Good menu, good prices and good food.
Very good food, steak was very tender the fish very tasty. Service, outstanding
Was here last year for my one year anniversary for lunch and only had the manger working and us in the place now I can here a year later and it has progressed so much! Food is amazing and server service was great. 100% recommended
We love to go there, good food, nice drinks , great live music
Hi quality food with great service. Danny the owner donated a meal to combat wounded disabled veterans for the Hero Hunt, INC 1st Annual Deep Sea Fishing trip on 2019. It was absolutely amazing!
Great food.
Great food. Great service from Erica. Very friendly. Will definitely pop in again whilst we are in Apalachicola.
Food was good quality, fresh, hot. Served quickly. Ask for Tasha. We had a friendly bird visit our table.
The atmosphere was good and so was the server but the food was just ok yet super expensive and was a gut bomb for my whole family. Do not recommend.
This was one of the few restaurants with dining in available due to COVID 19 so we decided to give it a try. Service was good. We had the fish and chips and street tacos. The french fries were hot and crunchy. The fried fish was so so with too much breading but they did use flounder. I expected the chipotle chicken tacos to be spicy but they weren’t at all. I couldn’t taste any chipotle - it was just lightly colored pieces of diced chicken. It came with nice crunchy cabbage, and the homemade tortillas chips were really tasty. Salsa was very bland – tasted like canned tomatoes – no spice at all. The Oyster brewery IPA and Brown were delicious. Too bad they weren’t allowed to do tastings at the brewery which is just around the corner. Overall, it was okay but nothing special.
People want true information. Some foods may taste good. I ordered a red snapper sandwich and some food. I like Red Snapper very much.Of course, I go fishing every year and catch it myself. It was the dryest and tasteless red snapper I've ever eaten. Maybe the Appalachicola Red snapper is a new fish. I don't like burgers very much, but I think it would be nice to have Burger King or Wendy nearby. And lastly, I hope the employees wear masks. And I don't think it's six feet between the table and the table.
My daughter had been planning her wedding in Apalachicola for a year. Three weeks before the Big Day, the original venue cancelled all plans. With very short notice, Danny and his wife from Tamara's Cafe agreed to cater the rehearsal dinner and reception, and did a phenomenal job.I will have to say this was by far the best food I have had at such an event, and highly recommend them to anyone planning a special occasion in the Apalachicola area.
Great food. Very old building. Prices are high but the food is great
This restaurant is a breath of fresh air in an area where, although the seafood is delicious, is prepared the same way, fried with hush puppies and Cole slaw. At Tamara's the food is much more interesting and delicious. I was a big fan of their Tabasco Chicken.
Different from the last time I was there. I guess it's been a while. Service was great!
They have some of the best pulled pork. I had it on The Cuban sandwich and also the pulled pork tacos
Very good meal... lot of choices... so nice during a road trip... not too expensive
Fantastic seafood paella! !! Best I've even had.
My food was good. My wife ordered her steak med. rare. It was closer to raw.Table of 6 one order was not placed. "It will be out in 2 mins. Saw waitress putting order in.
Tamara’s Cafe in Apalachicola, Florida, the best food I’ve had since I started this journey on July 15! Actually, the town of Apalachicola is the only town so far, where every meal was excellent... Out of about 30 towns, villages and cities in 5 States, Apalachicola by far has presented the best culinary selection without a doubt. I wrote a review on TripAdvisor complimenting the chef at Tamara’s Cafe, who is a real hidden gem, and to my surprise was not posted.
I’d like to start off with saying The Grouper cheeks with chorizo mac-n-cheese and tabasco was great, interesting flavors I would have never thought worked together blended into something great. Now with that being said here is why I’m giving 2 stars, my mother ordered the fried shrimp which on the menu was described as “lightly battered” and wow this batter was closer to wet cement, they definitely could have used a second or more in the frier but they were not “light” by any stretch of the word. The first plate was undercooked and we showed the waitress and she agreed and sent them back, the second batch was okay but still obviously undercooked and dripping with batter, still was charged for the shrimp and was definitely not worth $16. In addition if you are going to eat here avoid the street tacos, but the Cuban sandwich is great.
What a great place to relax, talk the day over with your better half, and enjoy cocktails along with a wonderful dinner. The staff are attentive to the guests and the Chef prepares some dinners that can only be described as memorable. My wife and I love this quaint piece of Apalachicola and will have fond memories of enjoyable times here, until we return next year. Thanks to all at Tamara’s for the experience of dining at your restaurant!
Been coming here since Tamara moved into Appalac. My wife and I especially loved flan.
The tobasco snapper with chorizo Mac n cheese was AMAZING. We also had the fried oysters - delicious.
Its okay... but definitely not as good as it used to be. Ordered chicken, and asked before if it was white meat. I was assured it was...it arrived and wasn't white meat. Still charged. Probably won't be back...sad they used to be great.
Finally getting to try this gem of a place in downtown Apalachicola. The oyster appetizer was cooked perfectly! Our other dishes were fabulous also.
Our meal was super super fantastic. The service was superb too
Nothing Special.1st time I have a Quesadilla with lettuce and tomato, cold tortilla and warm inside. After battle with several flies I was able to finish my plate. A peculiar smell comes out of the kitchen area.
Great atmosphere and food. Live music a bonus.
Tasty fish tacos served by a friendly waitress. Local Oyster City beers on tap.
Stopped by on a motorcycle trip and enjoyed terrific take-out and a chat with the owner. I'll be back with friends and family when things normalize. Great find, already told two friends about it and the town in general.
Extremely overpriced for small portions. Food was decent tho which is why im not giving it 2 stars
Definitely the best restaurant we found in Apalachicola! Much more varied menu than you'll find at most other raw-bar/fried fish places. Great steaks, pasta and seafood entrees, with lots of daily specials. The flash-fried grouper was about the best fried food of any kind I've had - very light and crispy! And the chorizo mac and cheese was flavorful and creamy. Blackened grouper over pasta with bacon jalapeno cream sauce was scrumptious! Great wine selection too. Wish we'd found this earlier in our visit, but glad we spent our last two nights here!
Food and service was great, but staff was not wearing masks and made no attempt to social distance.
Waited over 30 min for sandwichs
Tamara's is a good restaurant. The staff is always pleasant and the food is well prepared and presented well. You will find the food prices are reasonable and the portions are good also. Their daily specials are always a good choice and value. This visit I had the grouper sandwich which was great and my wife had the fish taco which I think was even better! For after your meal, the desserts are good too.
Awesome! Delicious food! Nice dining experience. Friendly waitstaff. Will definitely be back next vacation! Two thumbs up!
We were looking for late night eats when we heard some great live music coming from this Tapas Bar. In a town when nearly all the restaurants close at 9, we needed some food after the Hoedown! Kitchen was still serving, great staff and service! But the best part was the band - Far 2 Fresh!!! Amazing musicians and they played hours without a break. Highly recommend this place!
Delicious food, excellent service, cozy spot.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. As vegetarians the options were very limited, but they were so nice to make us vegetarian nachos!
